The restoration and reupholstery of furniture not only adds longevity but the process also creates something that can be loved and appreciated on a daily basis. It is however, important to maintain the integrity of the piece and to respect the traditional values and methods inherent in the design; as this ultimately adds character and value.
Antique and vintage furniture requires careful consideration and treatment. Great care needs to be given to the underlying quality of furniture, and wherever possible we replicate the original preparation, padding and filling. This is then further enhanced by stitching and detailing to create a finished piece that is a close as possible to the original.
That said, there’s nothing wrong with ripping the rule book up if you feel like pushing boundaries; and if you want breathe new life into a piece to create something edgier and funkier, we can do that too!
